Description
Overview of the medicine
Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with marked anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It is used for the relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

100 mg twice daily
Elderly
Reduced dosage may be necessary

Use with caution; dosage adjustment may be needed
How to Take
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. May be taken with or without food.
Mechanism of Action
Aceclofenac inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which is involved in the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are involved in the inflammatory process and pain.
