Aceclofenac SR is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with marked anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
100 mg twice daily or 200mg once daily.
Elderly
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
Renal_impairment
Dosage adjustment may be required in patients with renal impairment.
How to Take
Swallow the tablet whole with water, do not crush or chew.
Mechanism of Action
Aceclofenac inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX) which is involved in the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever.

Contraindications

Drug Interactions
Aspirin
Increased risk of gastrointestinal ulceration and bleeding.
Warfarin
Increased risk of bleeding.
Storage
Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture.
Overdose
In case of overdose, symptomatic and supportive treatment should be provided.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester. Consult a doctor before use during lactation.
