Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
500mg-1g every 4-6 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 4g daily.
Elderly
Lower doses may be required due to reduced hepatic and renal function.

Take orally with water.
Mechanism of Action
Paracetamol reduces fever by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the brain and reduces pain by elevating the pain threshold.
