Overview of the medicine
Aladin 10 mg Tablet is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and also for skin conditions like chronic urticaria (hives) that cause itching and rash. It is a non-sedating antihistamine.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
10 mg once daily.
Elderly
No dosage adjustment is generally required.
Renal_impairment
Patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance < 30 mL/min) should start with 10 mg every other day.
How to Take
Take orally, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Mechanism of Action
Aladin works by selectively blocking peripheral H1-receptors, thereby inhibiting the effects of histamine which is a chemical released by the body during an allergic reaction. This prevents symptoms like itching, swelling, and rash.

Alcohol
No potentiation of alcohol effects has been found.
Ketoconazole, Erythromycin, Cimetidine
May lead to increased plasma concentrations of Aladin, but without clinically significant safety changes.
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, tachycardia, and headache. Treatment should be symptomatic and supportive.
