For intravenous administration, Amidol 300 mg should be diluted and infused slowly over 15-30 minutes. For intramuscular administration, inject deep into a large muscle mass. Must be administered by a healthcare professional.

Amidol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, primarily through its central action. It may also have weak anti-inflammatory effects.

• •Hypersensitivity to Amidol or other pyrazolones (e.g., metamizole, propyphenazone) or to any excipient.
• •Known bone marrow suppression or history of blood dyscrasias (e.g., agranulocytosis).
• •Acute hepatic porphyria.
• •Severe hepatic or renal impairment.
• •Pregnancy (especially first and third trimesters) and lactation.

Store below 30°C. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.

Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, renal impairment, and CNS depression. Management is symptomatic and supportive, including gastric lavage or activated charcoal if recent oral ingestion (not applicable for injection) and close monitoring of vital signs and renal function.

Avoid during pregnancy, especially during the first and third trimesters, due to potential risks to the fetus. Not recommended for use during lactation as it passes into breast milk.
