Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initial: 5 mg once daily; Max: 10 mg once daily
Elderly
Initial: 2.5 mg once daily; Titrate slowly.

No dosage adjustment is usually required.
How to Take
May be taken with or without food.

Amlodipine blocks calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle cells, leading to vasodilation.
