Shake the bottle well before each use. Administer orally using the provided measuring cup or syringe. Can be taken with or without food.

Anleptic primarily stimulates the central nervous system, particularly the medullary respiratory and vasomotor centers. It increases the rate and depth of respiration and can elevate blood pressure. The exact molecular mechanism involves modulating neuronal excitability, possibly through interaction with specific neurotransmitter systems or ion channels.

Symptoms of overdose include excessive CNS stimulation, such as restlessness, tremors, hyperreflexia, convulsions, tachycardia, hypertension, and vomiting. Management is supportive, including gastric lavage, activated charcoal, and symptomatic treatment for seizures (e.g., benzodiazepines) and cardiovascular effects.

Pregnancy Category C. Use only if potential benefit outweighs potential risk to the fetus. It is not known if Anleptic is excreted in human milk; caution should be exercised when administered to a nursing mother.
