Antacid Plus is a combination of aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and simethicone which provides quick relief from hyperacidity, heartburn and gas.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
1-2 tablets chewed thoroughly as needed, preferably after meals and at bedtime.
Elderly
Lower end of the adult dose range may be sufficient.
Renal_impairment
Use with caution in patients with renal impairment; dose adjustment may be needed.
How to Take
Chew the tablet thoroughly before swallowing. For liquid form, shake well before use.
Mechanism of Action
Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide neutralize gastric acid, increasing the pH of the stomach contents. Simethicone reduces surface tension of gas bubbles, facilitating their expulsion.
