Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
250-750 mg every 12 hours depending on the severity and type of infection.
Elderly
Dosage adjustment may be necessary due to reduced renal function.
Renal_impairment
Dosage adjustment is required based on creatinine clearance.
How to Take
Administer orally with or without food. Drink plenty of fluids.
Mechanism of Action
Inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination.
