For inhalation, use a suitable nebulizer. For nasal spray, prime the pump before first use. For eye drops, apply directly to the eye. Oral capsules should be taken at least 30 minutes before meals.

Cromolyn Sodium stabilizes the mast cell membrane, preventing the release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine, leukotrienes, and slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis (SRS-A) in response to allergen exposure or other stimuli.

• •Hypersensitivity to Cromolyn Sodium or any component of the formulation.
• •Acute bronchospasm (not for immediate relief).

Store below 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.

Due to its poor systemic absorption and low toxicity, overdose with cromolyn sodium is unlikely to cause serious problems. Treatment should be symptomatic and supportive.

Pregnancy Category B. Studies in animals have not shown harm to the fetus. Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed. It is not known whether cromolyn sodium is excreted in human milk; caution should be exercised when administered to a nursing woman.
