Artemether is an antimalarial agent used for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
80 mg every 12 hours for 3 days
Elderly
Same as adults, with monitoring for liver function
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment needed for mild to moderate impairment. Use with caution in severe impairment.
How to Take
Take orally with food to increase absorption.
Mechanism of Action
Artemether inhibits parasite growth by disrupting parasite mitochondrial function and inhibiting the parasite's calcium adenosine triphosphatase.

Storage
