Arthrofen 75 mg Tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain, inflammation, and fever.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Typically 75-150 mg daily, in divided doses. For 75 mg tablet, usually one tablet once or twice daily, or as directed by the physician.
Elderly
Initiate at the lower end of the dosing range, with careful monitoring.
Renal_impairment
Reduced dosage and close monitoring are recommended in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. Avoid in severe renal impairment.
How to Take
Take orally, preferably with or after food, to minimize gastrointestinal upset. Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Mechanism of Action
This medicine works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation.
