Atezolizumab is a programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) blocking antibody indicated for the treatment of several types of cancers.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
1200 mg every 3 weeks or 840 mg every 2 weeks, administered intravenously.
Elderly
Dosage adjustments are not generally required in elderly patients.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment is recommended for patients with mild or moderate renal impairment. Data are limited in patients with severe renal impairment.
How to Take
Administered intravenously by a healthcare professional. Must be diluted prior to administration.
Mechanism of Action
Atezolizumab binds to PD-L1, blocking its interaction with PD-1 and B7.1 receptors. This removes inhibition of T-cells, restoring their anti-tumor activity.
