Overview of the medicine
Avator is a novel broad-spectrum antibiotic indicated for various bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
500 mg once daily for 7-14 days, depending on infection severity.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment required unless severe renal impairment.
Renal_impairment
For CrCl < 30 mL/min, reduce dose to 250 mg once daily.
How to Take
Can be taken with or without food. Swallow tablets whole with water.
Mechanism of Action
Avator binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and preventing bacterial growth.

Mainly renal excretion (60-70% unchanged drug), with some biliary excretion.

Side Effects
Contraindications
- •Hypersensitivity to Avator or any component of the formulation.

Drug Interactions
Warfarin
May potentiate anticoagulant effects; monitor INR closely.
Antacids containing aluminum or magnesium
May decrease Avator absorption; administer at least 2 hours apart.
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct light and moisture.
Overdose
In case of overdose, symptomatic and supportive measures should be taken. Gastric lavage may be considered.
