Avatrom (Rivaroxaban) is a direct Factor Xa inhibitor used to prevent and treat blood clots.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
20 mg once daily with food for DVT/PE treatment; 15 mg once daily with food for stroke prevention in AFib.
Elderly
Dosage adjustments may be needed based on renal function.
Renal_impairment
Dosage adjustments required for moderate to severe renal impairment (CrCl <50 mL/min).
How to Take
Take with food to enhance absorption.
Mechanism of Action
Rivaroxaban inhibits free Factor Xa and prothrombinase activity by blocking the active site of Factor Xa.
