How to Take
Oral administration. Can be taken directly or mixed with food or juice. Administer with a measuring spoon or dropper for accurate dosing.
Mechanism of Action
Provides essential vitamins (B-complex and C) and L-Lysine that act as coenzymes in various metabolic processes, support energy production, red blood cell formation, immune function, and protein synthesis. L-Lysine is an essential amino acid important for growth and tissue repair.
Pharmacokinetics
Onset
Nutritional effects are gradual and observed over days to weeks with regular use.
Excretion
Water-soluble vitamins (B-complex, C) are primarily excreted in urine; excess amounts are readily eliminated.
Half life
Variable depending on individual vitamin components; water-soluble vitamins are generally excreted rapidly.
Absorption
B-complex vitamins and Vitamin C are readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. L-Lysine is also well absorbed from the small intestine.
Metabolism
Water-soluble vitamins are not extensively stored and are involved as coenzymes in various metabolic pathways. Lysine is metabolized in the liver.
Side Effects
Contraindications
- •Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the formulation.
Drug Interactions
Levodopa
Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) may reduce the effectiveness of Levodopa (used in Parkinson's disease).
Phenobarbital, Phenytoin
Pyridoxine requirements may be increased.
Tetracycline antibiotics
Vitamin C can impair the absorption of tetracyclines. Separate administration by 2-3 hours.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Acute overdose is rare with water-soluble vitamins as excess amounts are usually excreted. Symptoms of very high doses might include gastrointestinal upset (nausea, diarrhea). Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Generally considered safe during pregnancy and lactation when taken at recommended daily allowances. However, always consult a doctor before use, especially during these periods, to avoid excessive vitamin intake.
