Bomaz 3 mg Tablet contains Bromazepam, a benzodiazepine used for the short-term treatment of anxiety, panic attacks, and sleep disturbances associated with anxiety.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Anxiety: 3-6 mg two to three times daily. Insomnia: 6-12 mg at bedtime. Max 30 mg/day.
Elderly
Initially 1.5 mg two to three times daily. Max 12 mg/day. Dosage should be reduced due to increased sensitivity.
Renal_impairment
Dosage reduction may be necessary. Start with lower doses and monitor response carefully.
How to Take
Take orally with or without food. Do not stop abruptly.
Mechanism of Action
Bromazepam enhances the effect of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter, at the GABA-A receptors in the brain. This results in anxiolytic, sedative, muscle relaxant, and anticonvulsant effects.
