Overview of the medicine
Burnaid-1-Cream is a topical cream formulated to provide fast relief from pain and help prevent infection in minor burns, scalds, cuts, and abrasions. It combines a local anesthetic for pain relief with an antiseptic to kill germs.

How to Take
For external use only. Wash hands before and after application. Gently clean the affected area before applying a thin layer of cream. Do not rub vigorously.
Mechanism of Action
Lidocaine stabilizes the neuronal membrane by inhibiting the ionic fluxes required for the initiation and conduction of impulses, thereby effecting local anesthetic action. Chlorhexidine gluconate is a broad-spectrum antiseptic that disrupts bacterial cell membranes and precipitates bacterial cell contents, leading to bacterial death.
Pharmacokinetics
Onset
Local anesthetic effect typically within 2-5 minutes.
Excretion
Mainly renal excretion of metabolites if absorbed systemically.
Half life
Not relevant for topical, localized action; systemic half-life of lidocaine is approximately 1.5-2 hours if absorbed.
Absorption
Minimal systemic absorption through intact skin. Absorption may increase with damaged skin or prolonged use.
Metabolism
Primarily hepatic metabolism of lidocaine if absorbed systemically.
