Catium-ES 110 mcg Inhalation Capsule is a combination medicine containing a long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA) and a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA), used for the maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
One Catium-ES 110 mcg Inhalation Capsule inhaled once daily using an appropriate inhaler device.
Elderly
No dosage adjustment required.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment required for mild to moderate renal impairment. Use with caution in severe renal impairment.
How to Take
For oral inhalation only. The capsule should be placed in the dry powder inhaler device, and the contents inhaled. Do not swallow the capsule.
Mechanism of Action
Indacaterol stimulates beta2-adrenergic receptors in the airways, leading to bronchodilation. Glycopyrronium blocks muscarinic receptors in the airways, preventing bronchoconstriction. Together, they relax airway smooth muscles, improving lung function.

Indacaterol: Rapidly absorbed, peak plasma concentration within 15 min. Glycopyrronium: Low systemic absorption, peak plasma concentration within 5-15 min.

Indacaterol: Primarily by UGT1A1 and CYP3A4. Glycopyrronium: Limited metabolism, mainly by CYP2D6.
