Description
Overview of the medicine
Ceritec 10 mg Tablet contains Cetirizine Hydrochloride, an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergies such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat. It is also used to treat chronic urticaria.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
10 mg once daily, or 5 mg twice daily.

How to Take

Mechanism of Action
Cetirizine is a potent and highly selective H1-receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a natural substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. It does not cause significant sedation at recommended doses because it does not readily cross the blood-brain barrier.
