How to Take
Instill drops into the conjunctival sac. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any other surface to prevent contamination.

Primarily renal for systemically absorbed drug. Ocular elimination is local tear turnover.
Half life
Systemic half-life is 3-5 hours, but ocular kinetics are different and systemic relevance is minimal.
Absorption
Minimal systemic absorption after ocular administration. Local absorption in ocular tissues.
Metabolism
Minimal ocular metabolism. Systemic metabolism primarily hepatic.
Side Effects
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin or any other quinolone antibiotics
- Viral or fungal eye infections

Storage
Store at room temperature (15-30°C). Protect from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Not expected with ophthalmic use due to minimal absorption. If accidental ingestion, induce vomiting or gastric lavage if appropriate.
