Uses & Indications

Adults
10 mg once daily, preferably in the morning. May be increased to 10 mg twice daily if needed, under medical supervision.
Elderly
Starting dose of 5 mg once daily, adjusted based on response and tolerability.
Renal_impairment

How to Take
Take the tablet whole with water, with or without food. Do not crush or chew.
Mechanism of Action
Clenpifinol Hydrochloride selectively stimulates beta-2 adrenoceptors in the bronchial smooth muscle, leading to bronchodilation. This relaxes the airways, making breathing easier.
Pharmacokinetics

Onset of bronchodilation typically occurs within 15-30 minutes.
Excretion
Excreted mainly via urine, both as unchanged drug and metabolites.
Half life
Elimination half-life is approximately 8-12 hours.
Absorption
Rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, reaching peak plasma concentrations within 1-2 hours.
Metabolism
Undergoes hepatic metabolism, primarily via CYP3A4.
