Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
For vitamin D deficiency, usually 600-2000 IU daily, or as directed by a physician based on serum levels. For maintenance, 600 IU daily is often sufficient.
Elderly
Similar to adult dosage; higher doses may be required in some cases due to reduced skin synthesis and absorption. Consult a physician.
Renal_impairment
Use with caution. Monitor serum calcium and phosphate levels. Dosage adjustments may be necessary, and active vitamin D metabolites may be preferred in severe impairment.
How to Take
