Ongoing phase IV studies are evaluating long-term safety and efficacy in various cancer types and in combination regimens. Phase III trials confirmed efficacy in lymphoma and breast cancer.

Lab Monitoring

• Complete Blood Count (CBC) with differential, frequently (before each dose and weekly)
• Renal function tests (Creatinine, BUN)
• Liver function tests (ALT, AST, Bilirubin)
• Urine analysis (for hematuria, to monitor for hemorrhagic cystitis)
• Electrolytes

Doctor Notes

• Strict monitoring of hematological parameters is crucial.
• Prophylaxis for hemorrhagic cystitis (e.g., Mesna) should be considered, especially with high doses.
• Assess cardiac and pulmonary function before and during treatment.
• Counsel patients on fertility preservation options.

Patient Guidelines

• Report any fever, chills, sore throat, or unusual bleeding/bruising immediately.
• Maintain good oral hygiene to prevent mucositis.
• Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids.
• Avoid contact with people who are sick or have infections.

Missed Dose Advice

If a dose is missed, contact your oncologist or healthcare provider immediately. Do not double the dose.

Driving Precautions

Cyclotox can cause fatigue, dizziness, or visual disturbances. Patients should avoid driving or operating machinery if they experience these side effects.

• Get adequate rest and manage fatigue.
• Eat a nutritious diet, consult a dietitian if needed.
• Avoid raw or undercooked foods to reduce infection risk.
