Dequa-VT 10 mg Vaginal Tablet is an antiseptic medicine used to treat various bacterial and fungal infections of the vagina. It helps relieve vaginal inflammation, itching, and discomfort.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
One 10 mg vaginal tablet daily, for 6 consecutive days, inserted deep into the vagina.
Elderly
Same as adult dosage; no specific adjustment needed.
Renal_impairment
No dose adjustment necessary for renal impairment as systemic absorption is minimal.
How to Take
Insert the tablet deep into the vagina, preferably at bedtime while lying down. Wash hands before and after use.
Mechanism of Action
Dequalinium chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound that acts as an antiseptic. It disrupts the cell membranes of bacteria and fungi, leading to their death and inhibiting their growth.
