Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
10 mg, three times daily, 15-30 minutes before meals. The tablet can be dissolved in a small amount of water.
Elderly
No dose adjustment is generally required, but caution is advised in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment.
Renal_impairment
Dose reduction to 10 mg once or twice daily may be necessary depending on the severity of impairment.
How to Take
Dissolve the dispersible tablet in a small amount of water (e.g., 10-20 ml) just before administration and drink the solution. Take 15-30 minutes before meals.

Primarily excreted via feces (60%) and urine (30%) within 24 hours.
Half life
Approximately 7-9 hours.

Metabolism
Extensively metabolized in the liver by CYP3A4.

Drug Interactions
0
Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, erythromycin): May increase Elivier plasma levels, increasing risk of side effects.
1
Anticholinergic drugs: May antagonize the prokinetic effect of Elivier.
2
Dopaminergic agonists (e.g., bromocriptine): Elivier may antagonize their effects.
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, disorientation, and extrapyramidal reactions. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive. Gastric lavage and activated charcoal may be considered.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed and the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks. Elivier is excreted in breast milk; therefore, use during lactation is generally not recommended unless benefits justify the risk.
