Description
Overview of the medicine
Fiborex-G is an effervescent powder containing Ispaghula Husk, a natural fiber used to relieve constipation and maintain bowel regularity. It works by increasing the bulk of the stool and softening it.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
One sachet (35 gm containing 3.5 gm Ispaghula Husk) mixed with a full glass of water, once daily, preferably at bedtime. Dosage may be increased to two sachets daily if needed, or as directed by physician.
Elderly

Renal_impairment
No specific dose adjustment required. Ensure adequate hydration is maintained.
How to Take
Empty the contents of one sachet into a full glass (approx. 150-200 ml) of cold water. Stir well and drink immediately. It is important to drink another full glass of water after taking the mixture.

Ispaghula Husk absorbs water in the gut, swells, and forms a gel-like substance. This increases stool bulk and softens it, facilitating bowel movements and promoting regularity.

Partially fermented by colonic bacteria into short-chain fatty acids.
