Flac 125 mg Suspension is a broad-spectrum antibiotic indicated for treating various bacterial infections in children.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Not typically indicated for adults in this strength; higher strengths or different formulations are used.
Elderly
Not typically indicated for elderly in this strength; higher strengths or different formulations are used.
Pediatric
20-40 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8-12 hours, depending on infection severity. Max 500 mg/day.
Renal_impairment
Dosage adjustment may be necessary in severe renal impairment (CrCl < 30 ml/min).
How to Take
Administer orally with or without food. Shake well before use. Use the provided measuring device for accurate dosing.
Mechanism of Action
Flac inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to bacterial lysis and cell death.
