Overview of the medicine
Gcool 500 mg Suspension is an antacid preparation used to relieve symptoms of heartburn, indigestion, and acid reflux. It contains active ingredients that neutralize stomach acid.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
10-20 ml (equivalent to 1-2 measuring spoonfuls) four times daily, between meals and at bedtime, or as directed by physician.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment needed, but caution in renal impairment.
Renal_impairment
Use with caution. Higher risk of hypermagnesemia or aluminum toxicity. Consult a physician.
How to Take
Shake well before use. Take orally, preferably between meals and at bedtime. Do not take within 1-2 hours of other medications.
Mechanism of Action

Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Symptoms may include diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain. In severe cases with renal impairment, hypermagnesemia (muscle weakness, hypotension, respiratory depression) or aluminum toxicity (osteomalacia, encephalopathy) may occur. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Generally considered safe for use during pregnancy and lactation, but use with caution and consult a doctor. Avoid prolonged use of high doses.
