Head-Care-2 Shampoo is an anti-dandruff shampoo formulated to effectively control dandruff, relieve itchy scalp, and leave hair feeling clean and fresh. It contains Zinc Pyrithione, an antifungal agent.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Apply to wet hair, gently massage into scalp, leave for 1-2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use 2-3 times per week initially, then as needed to maintain dandruff control.
Elderly
Same as adult dosage.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment required.
How to Take
For topical use only. Apply to wet hair and scalp, lather, rinse thoroughly. Repeat if desired. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.
Mechanism of Action
Zinc Pyrithione is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent with fungistatic and bacteriostatic properties. It works by interfering with the fungal cell membrane transport system, leading to disruption of cell metabolism and growth, thereby controlling the proliferation of Malassezia globosa, a yeast commonly associated with dandruff.
