Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initial dose 10 mg once daily, adjusted based on response up to 80 mg daily.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment required based solely on age.

No dose adjustment required for mild to moderate renal impairment; use with caution in severe impairment.
How to Take
Take orally once daily, with or without food, at any time of day, but preferably at the same time each day.
Mechanism of Action
Inketin selectively inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme that catalyzes the rate-limiting step in cholesterol biosynthesis. This inhibition reduces cholesterol levels in liver cells, leading to increased uptake of LDL from the bloodstream.
