Description
Overview of the medicine
KPR 10 mg Tablet is an antihistamine primarily used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies, such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat. It can also be used for chronic urticaria (hives) to reduce itching and rash.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
One 10 mg tablet once daily.
Elderly
No dosage adjustment is generally required unless there is significant renal impairment. Use with caution.
Renal_impairment
For patients with moderate to severe renal impairment (CrCl < 50 mL/min), a reduced dose of 5 mg every other day may be considered.
How to Take
Take KPR 10 mg Tablet orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Mechanism of Action
Kiprozine Hydrochloride, the active ingredient in KPR, selectively binds to and blocks peripheral H1 histamine receptors. This prevents histamine, a natural substance produced by the body, from acting on these receptors, thereby reducing allergic symptoms.

Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, tachycardia, and headache. In case of overdose, symptomatic and supportive measures should be initiated. There is no specific antidote.
