Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
100 mg twice daily (every 12 hours) for 7-14 days, depending on the severity and type of infection. Max dose 200 mg/day.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment generally required based on age alone, but monitor renal and hepatic function.
Renal_impairment
Dose reduction may be necessary in severe renal impairment (e.g., Creatinine Clearance < 30 mL/min). Consult a physician.
How to Take
