Magasol 480 mg Suspension is an antacid medication used to relieve symptoms of heartburn, indigestion, and acid reflux. It contains Magaldrate, which neutralizes excess stomach acid.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
10 ml (480 mg) four times daily, between meals and at bedtime, or as directed by physician.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment is generally required, but caution is advised in patients with renal impairment.

Use with caution. Reduced doses or avoidance may be necessary due to potential for aluminum and magnesium accumulation.
How to Take
Shake the bottle well before each use. Take orally, usually between meals and at bedtime. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Mechanism of Action

Drug Interactions
Iron supplements

Storage
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Overdose is rare due to low systemic absorption. Symptoms may include diarrhea, abdominal pain, and constipation. In patients with severe renal impairment, accumulation of aluminum and magnesium may lead to hypermagnesemia or aluminum toxicity. Treatment is supportive.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Use with caution. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy and lactation. Minimal systemic absorption suggests low risk, but specific studies are limited.
