Medibion 100 mg Tablet is a vitamin B complex supplement consisting of Thiamine, Pyridoxine, and Cyanocobalamin. It is used to treat vitamin B deficiencies and nerve disorders.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Typically 1 tablet daily or as directed by physician.
Elderly
Same as adults, unless severe renal or hepatic impairment exists.
Renal_impairment
Dosage adjustment may be required in significant renal impairment, but generally safe for water-soluble vitamins.
How to Take
Take orally, with or without food.
Mechanism of Action
Thiamine plays a crucial role in carbohydrate metabolism and proper nerve function. Pyridoxine participates in amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. Cyanocobalamin is essential for red blood cell production, DNA synthesis, and nerve myelination.

Drug Interactions
Alcohol
Can interfere with vitamin B absorption.
Levodopa
Pyridoxine may decrease the effectiveness of Levodopa (if used without carbidopa).
Loop Diuretics
Long-term use may cause thiamine deficiency.
Storage
Store below 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Due to being water-soluble vitamins, the risk of severe toxicity from overdose is low. However, very high doses of Pyridoxine taken long-term can cause peripheral neuropathy. Gastrointestinal discomfort may occur.

Generally safe and often recommended during pregnancy and lactation, but consult a doctor for appropriate dosage.
