Description
Overview of the medicine
Melizin 50 mg Tablet is an antihistamine primarily used to prevent and treat symptoms of motion sickness, vertigo (dizziness), nausea, and vomiting.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
For motion sickness: 25-50 mg orally 1 hour before travel; may be repeated every 24 hours as needed. For vertigo: 25-100 mg daily in divided doses.
Elderly
Start with a lower dose (e.g., 25 mg daily) due to increased sensitivity to anticholinergic effects and potential for sedation.
Renal_impairment

How to Take
Take orally with or without food. To prevent motion sickness, take it 1 hour before travel.
Mechanism of Action

Excretion
Excreted mainly in the urine and feces.
Half life
Plasma half-life ranges from 6 to 12 hours (may extend up to 24 hours).
