Dosage
Adults

One 4 mg chewable tablet daily, to be taken in the evening.
How to Take
Take orally once daily in the evening. For chewable tablets, chew completely before swallowing. Can be taken with or without food.
Mechanism of Action
Montelukast selectively antagonizes the cysteinyl leukotriene 1 (CysLT1) receptor, inhibiting the actions of leukotrienes. Leukotrienes are potent inflammatory mediators involved in the pathophysiology of asthma and allergic rhinitis.
