Mupicin 2% w/w Ointment is a topical antibacterial preparation containing mupirocin, an antibiotic used to treat bacterial skin infections.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Apply a small amount to the affected area three times daily for 3 to 10 days.
Elderly
No special dosage adjustment required.

No dosage adjustment required for topical use.
How to Take
For external use only. Wash hands before and after application. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area. The treated area may be covered with gauze dressing.
Mechanism of Action
Mupirocin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to bacterial isoleucyl-tRNA synthetase, preventing the incorporation of isoleucine into proteins.
