Description
Overview of the medicine
Eperisone is a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant used for the treatment of spastic paralysis, cervicobrachial syndrome, periarthritis of the shoulder, and lumbago.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
50 mg three times daily after meals.
Elderly
Dosage may need adjustment; start with a lower dose under medical supervision.

How to Take
Orally, with water, after meals to minimize gastrointestinal upset.
Mechanism of Action
Eperisone acts on the central nervous system, inhibiting the rigidity and spasticity of skeletal muscles by inhibiting the spinal reflex and decreasing the excitability of muscle spindles. It also promotes vasodilation and improves blood circulation.
