Description
Overview of the medicine
Nesudil eye drop contains Naphazoline Hydrochloride, a sympathomimetic decongestant, and Pheniramine Maleate, an antihistamine. It is used to relieve redness, itching, and congestion associated with allergic conjunctivitis and minor eye irritations.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) up to 4 times a day, or as directed by a physician.
Elderly
No specific dosage adjustment needed, use as adult dosage.

Not applicable for ophthalmic use with minimal systemic absorption.
How to Take
For ophthalmic use only. Tilt head back, pull down lower eyelid to form a pouch, apply drops, and close eye gently. Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye or any other surface.
Mechanism of Action
Naphazoline acts as a vasoconstrictor, reducing redness and swelling by constricting conjunctival blood vessels. Pheniramine is an H1-receptor antagonist, blocking histamine action to relieve itching and watery eyes.
