Ocubac-D eye drop is a combination of an antibiotic (Moxifloxacin) and a corticosteroid (Dexamethasone) used to treat bacterial infections and inflammation of the eye.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
1 drop in the affected eye(s) 2-4 times daily, or as directed by physician.
Elderly
Same as adults.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment needed.
How to Take
For ophthalmic use only. Shake well before use. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface to avoid contamination.
Mechanism of Action
Moxifloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential for bacterial DNA replication. Dexamethasone is a potent corticosteroid that suppresses inflammation by inhibiting various inflammatory mediators.
