Olopatadine acts as a selective histamine H1-receptor antagonist and inhibits the release of histamine from mast cells, thereby preventing and treating symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis.

Store at controlled room temperature (20°C to 25°C). Protect from light. Do not freeze. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

Ocular overdose is unlikely to cause adverse effects due to the localized nature of the drug. Systemic overdose is not anticipated due to minimal systemic absorption. If ingested, seek medical advice.

Pregnancy Category C. Use during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Caution should be exercised when administered to a nursing mother.
