Overview of the medicine
Protear-5-V Eye Drop is an ophthalmic lubricant used to relieve dry eyes, burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye. It works by moistening the eyes and providing a protective layer.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.
Elderly
Same as adult dosage.

How to Take
For ophthalmic use only. Tilt head back, pull down lower eyelid to form a pouch, instill drop(s) into the pouch, and close eye gently. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface.
Mechanism of Action
Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium increases the viscosity of the tear film and provides a protective lubricating coating on the ocular surface, thereby reducing friction and irritation. It also helps in maintaining the natural moisture balance of the eye.
