Refresh Tears is an ophthalmic lubricant used to relieve dryness, burning, and irritation of the eyes caused by environmental factors or other conditions. It helps to moisten and soothe the eyes.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.
Elderly
No special dosage adjustment required for elderly patients. Use as for adults.

Not applicable as there is no systemic absorption.
How to Take
For ophthalmic use only. Tilt head back, pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket, and instill drops. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface.
Mechanism of Action
Carboxymethylcellulose sodium works as a lubricant by increasing the viscosity of the tear film, thereby prolonging the contact time of the solution with the eye surface. It forms a protective, moisturizing film on the eye, mimicking natural tears.
