Description
Overview of the medicine
Relaxton is used to treat spastic paralysis, cervicobrachial syndrome, periarthritis of the shoulder, and lumbago. It works by relaxing skeletal muscles.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
50 mg three times daily after meals. Dosage may be adjusted based on age and symptoms.
Elderly
Start with a lower dose, e.g., 25 mg three times daily, and adjust according to response and tolerability.
Renal_impairment
Use with caution. Dosage adjustment may be required.
How to Take
Take orally after meals with water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Mechanism of Action
Eperisone acts by inhibiting voltage-dependent calcium channels and also has an inhibitory effect on the alpha-motor neuron. It helps to relax skeletal muscles, reduce muscle stiffness, and improve muscle movement.
