Rozenon 20 mg Tablet is an antidepressant medicine used to treat major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and panic disorder.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initial dose 10 mg once daily, increased to 20 mg once daily after 1 week. Maximum 20 mg/day.
Elderly
Initial dose 5 mg once daily, gradually increased if needed. Maximum 10 mg/day.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment needed for mild to moderate impairment. Use with caution in severe impairment.
How to Take
Take orally with or without food, once daily, preferably at the same time each day.
Mechanism of Action
Rozenon is a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI). It works by increasing the levels of serotonin, a natural chemical in the brain that helps maintain mental balance, thereby improving mood and reducing anxiety.

Initial effects within 1-2 weeks; full therapeutic effect in 2-4 weeks.

Primarily excreted via urine (metabolites) and feces.

Side Effects
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Rozenon or any component.
- Concomitant use with MAOIs (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors) or within 14 days of stopping an MAOI.
- Concomitant use with Pimozide.
Drug Interactions
MAOIs
Risk of serotonin syndrome.
NSAIDs
Increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
Warfarin
May increase anticoagulant effect.
Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCAs)
Increased plasma levels of TCAs.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Symptoms may include dizziness, tremor, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia. Management is symptomatic and supportive; ensure airway, breathing, and circulation. Gastric lavage and activated charcoal may be considered.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Category C in pregnancy. Use only if potential benefit justifies potential risk. Avoid during breastfeeding.
