• Advise patients on proper application technique and hygiene measures to prevent re-infestation.
• Consider treating close contacts simultaneously to prevent spread.
• Persistent itching after treatment is common and does not necessarily indicate treatment failure; may require symptomatic relief.

Patient Guidelines

• Read the package insert carefully before use.
• Ensure skin is clean and dry before application.
• Apply to all skin areas from the neck down, including between fingers and toes, under fingernails, and in skin folds.
• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and other mucous membranes. Rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs.
• Do not use on broken or irritated skin.
• Wash hands thoroughly after application.
• Change clothing, bed linen, and towels after treatment.

Missed Dose Advice

This medicine is typically a single application or two applications with a specific interval. If the application was not done properly or washed off too soon, reapplication may be necessary after consulting a doctor.

Driving Precautions

Does not impair ability to drive or operate machinery.

Lifestyle Advice

• Inform close contacts of your scabies diagnosis so they can also be checked and treated if necessary.
• Wash all clothing, bedding, and towels used by the infested person in hot water (at least 50°C) and dry them in a hot dryer or dry clean. Alternatively, seal items in a plastic bag for at least 72 hours.
• Vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture and discard the vacuum bag.
