Overview of the medicine
Serelam (Alprazolam) is a short-acting benzodiazepine anxiolytic primarily used to treat anxiety disorders, panic disorder, and sometimes anxiety associated with depression.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initial 0.25-0.5 mg orally three times daily, adjusted to maximum 4 mg/day.
Elderly
Initial 0.25 mg orally two to three times daily, adjusted carefully.

Use with caution; dose reduction may be necessary.
How to Take
Take orally with or without food. Do not crush or chew if it's an extended-release tablet (though Serelam is standard release).
Mechanism of Action
