Overview of the medicine
Temseas Syrup contains Temseas, a non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and fever. It is commonly prescribed for children and adults who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
10-20 ml (250-500 mg) every 4-6 hours as needed, not exceeding 80 ml (2000 mg) in 24 hours.
Elderly
No specific dosage adjustment needed, but caution advised. Max 60 ml (1500 mg) in 24 hours.
Renal_impairment
Dose adjustment may be necessary in severe renal impairment. Consult physician.
How to Take
Temseas Syrup is for oral administration. Shake the bottle well before use. Use a measuring spoon or cup provided to ensure accurate dosage. May be taken with or without food.
Mechanism of Action
Temseas is believed to act primarily in the central nervous system, inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis and thus reducing fever and pain. It has weak anti-inflammatory effects.
