Tetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
250 mg to 500 mg every 6 hours, orally.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment for elderly unless renal impairment exists.

Dose reduction necessary, consult physician. Avoid if severe impairment.
How to Take
Take orally with a full glass of water, preferably on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. Avoid taking with milk or dairy products.

Binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis.
